- This movie is 5 minutes and 2 seconds longer than The Talent Show, making it the longest movie from 15/2/07 to 9/9/07.
- The main title is reminiscent of the original Trouble With Trains
- The railway can no longer be seen in full on the Desk, due to it's new, larger size. Instead, the movie was filmed in sections of the railway (which lead to continuity errors with the station's size, which at a glance aren't visible).
- Extra track can be seen when the Metroliner passes the siding
- The shot of Reggie in the cab is repeated in reverse
- When Reggie talks to Green, the video is HORRIBLY blurry.
- Green is talking about the accident from the first movie.
- This is the first movie to give all Lego people different expressions (Talent Show only had one)
- Neon's first line is from an old comedy series.
- All car noises were made by TurboJ
- To get the tracking shots of the Metroliner, various rigs had to be constructed.
- At one point, a piece of Blu-Tak can be seen inbetween the sleepers.
- The driver's face was made in Flash MX
- The pieces of the car can be seen falling to the floor, where they remained for a month.
- This is the first time a clay person has been shown with eyes (digitally added)
- This is also the first time any Lego person has had animated mouths.
- The door reads Top Hatt, D.R. Owner
- Sodor Island Forums is a real forum
- Who closes the door?
- The sign reads Herr Mann's Used Loco Yard For railways that run on time
- Herr Mann tends to use various German words
- Engines that can be seen in the loco yard: A battery powered Brio engine, Frank, Sir Handel, City of Truro, an LNER J83, two engines of unknown classes (one LNER, one Southern), an 0F shunter, L&YR Class 21, Clan Line, Blackmoor Vale, a 2-6-4 LMS tank engine, Hogwarts Castle, a Virgin diesel shunter (dressed as Sonic from The Railway Inspector's Thomas series), two 0F 'Queen Elizabeth' shunters, various N-gauge models that aren't shown completely, Mallard with N-gauge counterpart, Flying Scotsman with N-gauge counterpart, the evil Class 37, the Great Western tank engine, 92220 Evening Star, Take along Thomas the tank engine. *faints*
- The line 'Stupid Boy' refers to the sitcom Dad's Army. The character of Captain Mainwaring would sometimes call one of the other characters the aforementioned line. Mainwaring was played by Arthur Lowe, who narrated the original Mr Men series. So now you know.
- The Class 37 sounds slightly rabid, but he was actually inspired by Cornholio
- Herr Mann talks of 9 Volt engines being replaced by R/C control. This is similar to both the abolition of steam locomotives in favour of diesels, and the fact that Lego are moving up to R/C controlled trains and phasing out 9 volt sets.
- The initial scene with Brackett the butler and Lord Belborough is heavily similar to scenes in most episodes of Chigley.
- The room they are in is actually Top Hatt's office. The painting reads "An Paintin" and is Blu-Takked onto the wall.
- Red's new model was originally to debut in this movie, but Sweet Victory beat it.
- The line "Thomas and the Magic Railroad bad?" was originally meant to be "TrustThomas65 bad?". The reason it was changed is unclear. Thrustthomas65 is a TERRIBLE redubber, and Magic Railroad was a box office disaster.
- Green is referring to the 1952 movie The Titfield Thunderbolt. But the locomotive he is talking about is in a museum in Mallingford, not Titfield.
- The shots of Bessie approaching are inspired by the song 'Time Flies By When You're The Driver Of A Train'. The lyrics of the song at one point read " Wheezing pistons, smoky funnel, turning wheels go clickety-clack...". The shots mentioned above show each of the three things.
- The sound played in those above shots is lifted from the series.
- Neon is a possible junkie. He talks about coke (crack cocaine) and then rubs some off of his face. In reality, it was flour he rubbed away.
- Green thinks Neon is talking about Crystal Meth, another drug.
- Crystal really does work at the hospital as seen here. The 'forward' line refers to her large chest.
- Bessie has several differences since she first appeared in this movie, such as a smokebox door.
- When Bessie begins work, a new addition to the railway can be spotted. Namely, a signal box and signal.
- There are now 2 coaches on the railway.
- The SiF Members were actually just random lego people. Some of them appeared in The Talent Show.
- Top Hatt made about 40 pence from the SiF members. That's a lot of money to the clay people!
- The driver appears in a full body cast towards the end.
- The guy the driver talks to sounds like Butthead. He even has a dental brace!
- Looking at the car from behind, you can see that the steering wheel is on the opposite side to the driver. This is because TurboJ is British, and the driver sits on that side.
- The phone is actually TurboJ's.
- The ringtone, Crazy Frog Axel F, is said to be one of the most annoying things ever.
- Behind Top Hatt and the others, various characters make a cameo. Bubs, Yellow, Sera, Crystal, Oddjob, Ivor Whigg and Knuckles.
- The controls for Bessie were animated in Flash.
- The two gauges have the letters AJH...
- In the overview, a breakdown van is putting Bessie's tender back on the rails and the driver is being arrested!
- The minifigure of Lord Belborough from the destroyed coach scene onwards is not the same one that drove Bessie.
- Jim522 is a real member of SiF. However, he is from Australia, so this member meeting could have been an international one.
- Neon is, of course, referring to the Incredible Hulk.
- After the fade, Bessie is seen with smoke coming from behind her. This was done by using incense.
- This is the first time a movie has been filmed on the floor.
- The scene where Reggie finds the Metroliner engine is similar to games such as Legend of Zelda.
- "Are you pondering what I'm pondering" is taken from Pinky & The Brain
- Bessie travels at 126 mph, as fast as the Mallard did.
