The Movie

Trivia

- At 9 minutes 30 seconds, this was the longest movie until The Talent Show

- This movie follows on from an early Stop Motion Pro movie I made. It will not go on the internet. But the sepia tone flashback was a short scene from it.

- None of the lego people move their legs while walking, simply because they would fall over if not on Lego studs.

- Red and Reggie have very similar voices, so it is sometimes difficult to tell who is talking.

- When the Steam Engine backs down onto the train, you can tell that it actually couples onto it.

- All of the sound effects from the coupling sequence are taken from Big Man Restless

- The sound effect that plays during the close up of a watch originated from Trumpton as the sound of the town clock.

- When Red is knocked over by the speed of the train, it was actually a piece of Lego attached to the tender.

- In the shot immediately after the above, the camera seems to move as the train passes. It had in fact collided with the cable of the Webcam.

- The voice of the Long haired Lego person was provided by Kenji. The line had been recorded for a short collaberation which never surfaced, and he had no idea that I planned to use it.

- During the police scene, there are 2 officers and a woman in red standing around a piece of Lego. This piece actually broke off the caboose when it fell from the rails, and wasn't found until afterwards.

- Captain ROM is a character from Lego Island.

- When the camera goes behind Neon, 2 officers are lying down. They are the same ones that Red was talking to.

- Sorry, even I don't know how explosives would get a train back on the rails.

- Neon was originally to swear loudly in response to Red's rejection of his plan.

- Blue's voice is noticably lower.

- Crystal is still a mute.

- This is the first time Red has down dislike of Yellow.

- All of the people seen getting out of the coach are based on people from Lego Island.

- the quote "Hurry, hurry, hurry" came from Thomas the Tank Engine

- The quote "Detach the rear vehicle" came from Starfox 64/ Lylat Wars

- This is the first time the Penguin has ever spoken. Yellow's remark refers to the fact that before this, the Penguin has only ever made Pingu's signature 'MWAK! MWAK!'.

- The Penguin's normal voice (not his Mad Scientist voice heard most of the time) was partially inspired by comedian Russell Brand.

- This is the second time the Penguin's left eye has gone in another direction to his right. The first time was in Penguin vs Monster: The Sequel!

- At one point, JimBobDunnie of Sodor Island Forums had a picture of the Penguin as his avatar (along with the quote "It is I, the Penguin! Mad scientist extrodinaire!").

- This is the first appearance of the Doomsday Project. It is currently in it's 4th form, and never looked like that when built.

- The controls for the Doomsday Project are a blob of white plasticine with a Lego wrench.

- The Doomsday Project's mouth opened via a piece of string tied around his mouth.

- No matter what the Penguin says, the Doomsday Project would never make it into Robot wars. It's too tall, too heavy, it couldn't defend itself from low attacks, and what's more, it's 'cancelled'.

- Don't ask how they tied the string around the engine, because I don't know.

- The Penguin moves to the side before the scene cuts is because he was accidentaily put directly in the path of the DP.

- The steam engine was never meant to fall on it's side. Only one shot could be taken of the rescue, and the string got caught on the underside of the cab roof, causing the engine to topple.

- Reggie is carrried off by Enter and Return, two identical characters who work at the Lego Island hospital. It is also worth noting that Reggie looks incredibly similar to the two.

- The ambulance was moved away using a pin stuck into the wheel arch. It caused it's fair share of confusion and delay while moving away, as I was focusing on what the camera saw.

- Nubby Stevens is a character from Lego Island who works at the garage. The garage shown is NOT the one fromm the game.

- Nubby's voice is not that high.

- The garage is located on the other side of the desk to the railway, explaining the change in lighting.

- The engine is being held up on a single Lego jack.

- This is not the first time the High Speed Electric Train (Metroliner) has appeared in a movie, but it is the first time it has appeared in a movie while running under it's own power.

- The Metroliner has no driver.

- This is the first time the narrator has been heard.

- The final line in the movie is very "Thomas-esque".

- The video played during the credits was meant to be in the movie itself. The original rescue plan was that Neon would be lowered down underneath the train and would use Blutack to secure the train. Unfortunately, the Blutack fell from his grasp during filming, and another plan had to be used. Neon is seen later on with a mark where thee string was tied around him (right after they reattach the caboose)

Goofs

- Various goofs relate to the Webcam with either the Lens or the LED reflected in the Lego. Here's a showcase of mistakes:

OTHER GOOFS

- After Red says "Lets all go have muffins", his left arm seeems to be breaking off.

- As the Doomsday Project approaches the camera, he actually collides with it and stops.

- For one frame, the light in the rooms increases, so it looks like lightning.

- When the ambulance drives off in front of the camera, one of the bases for the Webcam is seen in the background.

- When Neon says "What you normally do", the police car behind him suddenly moves backwards.

- When Red cries "3 MONTHS?!", a wire can be seen in his arm.

- When the metroliner comes to a halt, you can see a face in the black plastic.

- During the credits, the MechaEgg II theme is not listed anywhere. This was spotted by Sherlock Assassin of Sodor Island Forums.
