Deal or No Deal

I love the programme Deal or No Deal – I even applied to be on the show but didn’t get accepted! I think it is a great format for a game show and it was a huge hit when it first came out.

But the other day when I was getting my online lottery ticket I found a Deal or No Deal instant win game.

I love it – I am slightly addicted! You have to pick your own box then 14 of the other ones to reveal the amounts. Then the dealer asks if you want to deal and go on to a mini-game or you can carry on and reveal your box at the end.
Unfortunately, I haven’t won anything yet, but keeping my fingers crossed! Brilliant!

Still searching

Life's still on a bit of a go slow, but I'm figuring out what I'm going to do next to sort that out!

I'm working almost full time in a money-making job - as in, it isn't really what I want to do but it pays the bills - and now I'm researching some animation courses and 3d training so I can go into the more advanced field or animation and digital arts.

These days a degree doesn't seem to be enough, recruiters and employers want heaps and heaps of experience. I saw one advert for an internship that said you needed a masters degree and at least a year's experience, for an internship! What a joke!

So, to give myself the edge over my peers and rivals I'm going to take on some intensive, advanced, professional training that will really build on my existing skills.

New Camera!

Okay so I splurged a bit, but I have absolutely no regrets, look at my beautiful new camera!

It's a Canon PowerShot G12 compact camera, rather than SLR - they're much too bulky and heavy for me! This has got so many great features that make it well worth the price, I can't wait to get snapping on it!

It has 10 megapixels, maximum resolution 3648 x 2736 pixels, has image stabiliser, 4x digital zoom as well as Canon 5x (28-140 mm) lens with optical Image Stabilizer and Hybrid IS, full manual control option, and takes an sd card which I already have loads of from my last camera!

Best of all, it also shoots HD Movies up to 720p with stereo sound and HDMI, so I can shoot high quality videos as well as photos!

I've taken a few test shots, but I'm going to have a plan a photo-taking trip very soon!

Patience is a virtue...?

I'm becoming really impatient with my life at the moment, I just want everything to get a move on!

I want a decent job, a decent place to live, and to finally feel like a grown up! I know it's a ridiculous thing for an adult to say, but I don't really feel like I'm living the life of an adult at the moment, and I'm desperate for everything to just move on.

I know the job I want, I'm just having trouble getting it just yet. I want to move to a nice house with, a porch out the with a lovely set of rattan patio furniture overlooking a lovely flowery garden, a cat flap for the cats - Mickey and Minnie - friends to come around in the evenings for a meal or a glass of wine. Weekends away to Paris, Vienna, Dusseldorf!

I just hate this waiting game - I want my life now!

My latest advert-based rant...

Okay so I've already blogged moaning about Mr Go Compare and his awful singing adverts, among various other mind-meltingly annoying TV adverts.

Well, I now have another such complaint to share, and that's with the amount of short-term loan adverts there are on our TV screens these days. Where have they all come from? And at anything between 2000-4000% APR are people really taking loans out?

There's a load of them, Wonga.com, Quick Quid, Same Day Loans, when will it stop?!

They usually follow the same format, a stressed out man or woman trying to pay their bills, telling you all about how much these loans can help. But they don't tell you how much you have to pay back! Crikey!

I'm sure when you actually apply they must have to make it clear, but it's a huge rip off, I hope people sensible with their money and make sure they know exactly how much they're expected to pay back!
