- The engines used in this movie are the Hornby A4 Mallard and Hornby GWR 101.
- As Mallard approaches the siding, electrical sparks are seen around her wheels.
- The GWR 101 has no coal bunker or motor (all of it's movements were animated)
- Mallard's electricity supply was mysteriously cut off as she crossed over the points while in reverse, explaining why she stopped. She was moved away using stop-motion.
- This movie marks the first appearance of Neon and Crystal. Crystal is currently mute, as she has no voice actress.
-The box Blue stands on at one point is a DVD box set of Monty Python.
- A Limozeen sticker is seen in the background when Red and Yellow play the NES.
- The Penguin shooting Red and Yellow is a reference to Clay Penguin Shooting, when the two try to kill the penguin. His bandana could be a reference to the Robson Studios movie "The Showdown", which sees a penguin fight a rabbit. it is worth noting the similarity between the two penguins.
- The scene when Neon, yellow and Red are singing is the weakest part of the movie, due to a lack of any real movement.
- The NES has Super Mario Bros in the drive.
- The saxophone seen in the movie does not have a mouthpiece attached.
- It is unknown what is actually playing on the TV.
- When Yellow gets shot in the head the first time, Red seems to suddenly stand up straight.
- As Penguin shoots Yellow repeatedly, the railway line moves.
- When Blue moves while standing on the truck, it moves with him.
- When the Penguin starts to leave at the end, a plug in the background disappears.
- When Blue is flipped over for the final time, a thumb can be seen.
